Page 1 of 3 To submit a manuscript or a book proposal, please send:
- One or two sample chapters
- An outline indicating the nature and scope of each chapter,
- A brief letter describing the project, its estimated length, and target audience.
- Photocopies of any photographs or illustrations you believe might assist us in evaluating your proposal
- A self-addressed stamped envelope for return of manuscript. (There will be no reply or return of material without return postage).
In your cover letter, please include the following information:
- A description of the book's audience.
- A brief summary of similar or competitive books.
- Explain how your book is different from them.
- An explanation of why your book differs from those already on the market.
- The anticipated length of the manuscript.
- A brief autobiographical summary of you, the author.
- We would also like to know your ideas for publicity and promotion of the book, including how you intend to reach your target market, and any contacts you have that may be helpful.
- Your complete address, with a phone number that we can reach you.
You can expect an initial response within two months of our receipt of your proposal. At that point, if we are interested, we will ask you to send the entire manuscript.
