Marymount Institute Press

Marymount Institute Press (MIP), a Tsehai Publishers imprint, is the publishing arm of Loyola Marymount University’s Marymount Institute. The press supports its parent institution’s goal of “promoting a dialogue between faith, culture and the arts” by publishing noteworthy new works that foster an awareness of the cultural richness expressed in the art of ethnic and religious groups, and encourages interdisciplinary dialogue and transformative education.

African Academic Press

The African Academic Press (AAP)  was established to facilitate the publishing of scholarly works that do not usually get proper attention from the mainstream publishing houses. In this respect, priority is given to those scholarly works which provide the African perspective. The books that are submitted go through a rigorous peer review process. Our internationally respected scholars, who serve as peer reviewers, will select the books, then our talented editors and book designers finalize the book to its finest form to reach our readers.

Chereka Books

Chereka Books is dedicated to bringing accessible, joyful, and child-friendly illustrated books to children and young readers. Through these stories we intend to entertain, inspire, and educate the children. These inspiring and imaginative, full-color books range from first concept books, to read-together stories, to books for newly independent readers. Through the variety of writing and illustration styles, children reap the rich rewards that Tsehai’s new imprint, Chereka Books, offers.

The imprint is deeply committed to its authors and illustrators, and believes that by working closely with them, they can create books that children, and adults who read to children, will love for years to come. Chereka Books will launch its first list in summer 2009 with four illustrated books, and will continue to publish many books a year.
